Emergencies During Office Hours
If your pet needs urgent medical attention during regular business hours, please call us at 330-929-3223. We will assess our ability to accommodate your pet based on the urgency of the problem and our available staff and appointments.
If your pet requires immediate emergency care that we cannot provide, we will direct you to an appropriate emergency facility.
After-Hours Emergencies
For emergencies outside our regular office hours, please contact MedVet Akron at 330-665-4996.
We believe clients should understand the medical recommendations for their pets and the associated costs. Our doctors will discuss treatment options, and we can provide estimates for recommended care.
Payment is due when services are provided. We accept cash, major credit cards, and CareCredit financing, subject to approval and applicable terms.
Pet health insurance may also help families plan for unexpected veterinary expenses.
If leaving your pet with us for the day would be more convenient for you, you can drop your pet off in the early part of the day and we will call you with an estimate and a treatment plan. Please call in advance to let us know this is what you prefer and to determine if we have availability that day.
When an appointment is missed or canceled with very little notice, valuable time reserved for your pet goes unused. This affects not only our doctors and staff, but also other pets whose owners were turned away because our schedule was already full.
Clients who miss appointments or cancel or reschedule with insufficient notice may be required to prepay a nonrefundable examination and consultation fee when scheduling future appointments. This payment is applied toward the scheduled visit.
