Pet Services
More pets are euthanized on an annual basis across the country due to behavioral problems than medical problems. This is very sad. Doctors and members of our staff have been trained to assist you in behavioral training, and we have a number of contacts for trainers in the area that can be a wonderful resource for you and your pet. Sometimes behavioral problems have medical solutions, but more often they have behavioral-modification solutions. We can design a treatment plan to help with your problem-pet.
While we are not a full-service grooming facility, we do provide bathing for the dogs that are just a bit too difficult to bathe and/or adequately dry at home. A day’s stay with us will ensure that you’ll take your dog home smelling fresh and feeling fine.
We offer boarding for our clients when space is available. Please call in advance when you have boarding needs. There is an 80 lb. limit for dogs. Runs are available for our larger boarders. All dogs are walked outside three times daily. We also offer Kitty Condos for our feline boarders. In the event that we do not have availability for your pet, we have a list of local boarding facilities where your pet will receive good care.
Education Services - The best way to have owners who are equipped and ready to provide the best care for their pets at home is for them to be informed. Further, the best way to have the next generation of veterinarians excited about veterinary medicine is to expose today’s students to veterinary medicine. In any event, we love to teach and share the details of our job with others. If you would like for one of the doctors to speak at your Career Day or if you would like to schedule a tour of the clinic for a Boy Scout Troop or Pioneer Club, give us a call during regular business hours and we'll be happy to make arrangements.
Breed Counseling - Having trouble deciding which breed of dog with which to spend the next portion of your life? The doctors and staff are trained and experienced with helping pet owners to determine which breed would be a great fit for them.
The quickest way for your lost pet to be returned to you is to have a tag on his/her collar displaying your contact information. But cats and dogs can slip out of their collars, if a collar is applied in the first place. In this event, a microchip (no bigger than a grain of rice) implanted under the skin of your pet with your contact information digitally stored on the chip can help return your pet to you in a timely fashion. More and more veterinary clinics, shelters and pounds are scanning lost pets to search for identification. We implant Home Again® microchips and register your contact information so your pet can be immediately enrolled.
