CFVC Team

To say the CFVC team is uniquely tight-knit is more than an slight understatement.  Each are highly trained, skilled, and compassionate.  Most of our team have grown up in the area and all have families in the area.  And once hired, they stick around!  Folks who experience the CFVC culture tend to stay with the CFVC culture.

Department:

Ashley

Registered Veterinary Technician

Ashley joined our team in 2012 as a college student and graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2015.

"I enjoy working at CFVC because of the family oriented environment and a staff that is continually advancing their knowledge in veterinary medicine. My favorite part being a veterinary technician is providing care to those who can't speak for themselves."

She likes living close to her family in northeast Ohio and enjoying outdoor activities no matter the season.

Ashley and her husband have two young boys, and two cats (Niko & Chavito).  When she's not at work,  you can find her with her family and friends, enjoying crafting and party planning, or riding her bike.

Melissa

Veterinary Technician

Melissa joined the CFVC team in 2016 and graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2018.  In a previous life, she was a teacher, obtaining an MA from the University of Akron in 2012.

She grew up in Bath, and now lives close by with her husband, daughter and son, along with their four cats, Rosie, Franklin, Emmogene, & Dill.  She calls them her Babes.  🙂

"It's not work at CFVC when I'm with my best friends and boss that is so family oriented.  We all have each others' backs."

Additionally,

"My favorite part of working in the veterinary field," Melissa says, "is learning up and coming medicine and seeing it in action."

Melissa enjoys the four seasons in the CVNP and living close to family.  When she's not working, she's either "hanging out with my CFVC girls," riding horses, chasing her young daughter and son, vacationing in Hilton Head, or visiting extended family in Coshocton.

Sam

Veterinary Technician

A Carrolton native, Sammy joined CFVC as a college student in 2017 and graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2018.

Sammy and her fiancé care for two mini poodles, Gizmo & Chloe, and two cats, Olivia & Finky, and she enjoys cooking up interesting dishes and traveling to see new places.

"My team is like my family, and I feel like my work and passion is appreciated here."

Erin

Registered Veterinary Technician

Erin grew up in Sebring, Ohio, and joined us for her externship as she completed her Associate's Degree for Veterinary Technology in 2019 at Kent State University at Trumbull.  She then moved to full-time with us upon graduation.

She and her husband have added some animals to their home in recent years, including dogs Baloo & Arya, and cats Ciri & Leia.

"My favorite part of being a veterinary technician is being able to help patients and providing them with quality care.  It makes me feel so good when patients come in for a follow-up and seeing them feeling better.  It's very fulfilling and rewarding."

Erin likes the seasonal changes of northeast Ohio, hiking with her dogs, and hanging out with her twin sister!

Lyndsey

Assistant

From East Helena, Montana, Lyndsey joined us in 2022 and has become a vital part of the patient care experience for your animals.

"I enjoy working alongside funny and energetic people [at Cuyahoga Falls Veterinary Clinic], and hang out with cats and dogs all day!"

Lyndsey says living is northeast Ohio is good because we get forests, rivers, and lakes, but also close access to cities and fun events.  We agree. 🙂

She's into art, so when you see Lyndsey, ask her about her drawing and painting.

Kayla

Veterinary Assistant

Born in Cleveland and raised in Akron, Kayla came to us with experience in the role of veterinary receptionist, and she fit right in on Day 1.  "I love the family environment and teamwork used to get the job done," she says of her time spent at the clinic.

When she's not with her work family, she's with her home family of 3 girls and 2 boys.

Leah

Veterinary Student

We keep Leah's bio on our roster because she was an all-star employee and is an all-star person, and Drs. Ryan & Jenn are particularly proud of her as she's navigated high school, college, and veterinary school in pursuit of her dream and career.

Raised in Stow, Leah is a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and the University of Findlay, and is currently a third year student at Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  She started as a high school shadow many years ago and was fantastic help for three summers prior to beginning her professional veterinary education.

Leah enjoys the outdoor activities and community of northeast Ohio, horseback riding, and she drives a mean jet ski.

"Dr. Ryan has been a great mentor to me and has helped me on the road to becoming a veterinarian.  I genuinely enjoyed coming to work ever day and learning as much as I could."
