CFVC Team

To say the CFVC team is uniquely tight-knit is more than an slight understatement.  Each are highly trained, skilled and compassionate.  They've grown up in the area and have families in the area.  And once hired, they stick around!  Folks who experience the CFVC culture tend to stay with the CFVC culture.

Ashley W

Veterinary Assistant, Laboratory Guru

Ashley grew up in Munroe Falls, Ohio, earned a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron in 2006, and joined the team here shortly after.

"My favorite part of working in the veterinary field is seeing the difference we make for our patients and clients on a daily basis and over the long term."

She's got a pair of pitties, Payton ("PayPay") and Baymax; three kitties, Lebowski, Parker and Oscar; and a beta named Turq.  When she's not working, she's spending time with family & friends and doing anything that includes her pups.

"We have a unique bond at Cuyahoga Falls Veterinary Clinic.  We not only enjoy working together, but also hanging out after hours.  We are family!"

Ashley D

Registered Veterinary Technician

Ashley joined our team in 2012 as a college student and graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2015.

"I enjoy working at CFVC because of the family oriented environment and a staff that is continually advancing their knowledge in veterinary medicine."

She likes living close to her family in northeast Ohio and enjoying outdoor activities no matter the season.

Ashley and her husband have a young son, a dog (Noel), a cat (Niko), and a guinea pig (Martin, pronounced Mar-teen').  When she's not at work,  you can find her with her family and friends, enjoying crafting and party planning, or riding her bike.

Melissa

Veterinary Technician

Melissa joined the CFVC team in 2016 and graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2018.  In a previous life, she was a teacher, obtaining an MA from the University of Akron.

She grew up in Bath, and now lives close by with her husband and daughter, along with their five cats, Rosie, Franklin, Emmogene, Pickles and Sophie.  She calls them her Babes.  🙂

"It's not work at CFVC when I'm working with my best friends and boss that is so family oriented.  We all have each others' backs."

Melissa enjoys the four seasons in the CVNP and living close to family.  When she's not working, she's either "hanging out with my CFVC girls," riding horses, chasing her toddler, vacationing in Hilton Head, or visiting extended family in Coshocton.

Sammy

Veterinary Technician

A Carrolton native, Sammy joined CFVC as a college student in 2017 and graduated from Stautzenberger College in 2018.

Sammy and her supportive boyfriend care for two mini poodles, Gizmo & Chloe, and two cats, Olivia & Tuco.  You can find Sammy outdoors in the CVNP or boating and fishing with family, or in the kitchen cooking up good dishes.

"My favorite part of working in the veterinary field is helping animals feel better, participating in owner education and being there for an animal when it doesn't have anyone else."

Erin

Registered Veterinary Technician

Erin joined us for her externship as she completed her Associate's Degree for Veterinary Technology at Kent State University at Trumbull, and then moved to full-time with us upon graduation.

Originally from Sebring, Ohio, she and her fiancé moved to the area and welcomed Baloo, the mini Australian Shepherd, to their home shortly after.

"My favorite part of being a veterinary technician is being able to help patients and clients, and seeing the differences we make ever day.  It is very rewarding."

Erin likes the seasonal changes of northeast Ohio, hiking, horseback riding, and doing anything fun with Baloo!

Leah

Veterinary Assistant, Pre-Veterinary Student

Raised in Stow, Leah is a graduate of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and currently a student at the University of Findlay.  Veterinary College has been the goal, and Leah is well on her way.  She started as a high school shadow a number of years ago and has been fantastic, loyal help now for three past three summers.

Leah enjoys the outdoor activities and community of northeast Ohio, horseback riding, and she drives a mean jet ski.  As if veterinary school on the horizon isn't enough, she and her fiance are currently preparing for their July '20 wedding.

"Dr. Ryan has been a great mentor to me and has helped me on the road to becoming a veterinarian.  I genuinely enjoy coming to work ever day and learning as much as I can."

Zach

Veterinary Assistant, Pre-Veterinary Student

Zach came to us as a pre-veterinary student at Kent State University.  After shadowing for a time, his work ethic and team attitude compelled us to officially bring him on board.

Megan

Veterinary Assistant, Pre-Veterinary Student

Our newest team member, Megan's clear love of animals, hard working attitude, and desire to get into the veterinary field led her to us.
