Stamps To The Rescue

And now I’d like to throw a bone to the U.S. Post Office.

I know, I know, that was really corny.  But in all seriousness, the Post Office is doing something really cool for animals in shelters that are waiting for a home.  Beginning TODAY (Friday, April 30) they’re selling The Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet commemorative stamps to raise awareness of the importance of adopting dogs and cats from shelters.  Too many wonderful, adoptable pets are euthanized every year because there is no home for them.

Clearly you’re aware of how great it is to have a pet (or two or five!).  So you’re already aware of this need.  Putting a “Shelter Pet Stamp” on your mail will be a small message to the receiver who may or may not know of the need.

So be a part of this movement and make your next purchase of stamps come from The Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet.
